There is no announced slot for Hartford on the 2000 tour by The Who, who this week announced a revival with a stripped-down five-piece band. Sonic Youth will skip the state on its next tour, playing the Avalon in Boston June 15, Lupo's in Providence June 16 and a venue to be announced in New York June 17. The D'Angelo date at the Wang Center in Boston that was canceled due to illness will not be rescheduled. The original date of July 13 was changed so the band could play two dates at Madison Square Garden. Roger Waters' date at the Providence Civic Center has been switched to July 16. Third Eye Blind and Outkast will play the University of Connecticut's Gampel Pavilion April 29. Look for tour stops by the Moody Blues at the Meadows Music Theatre July 14 and the Charles Ives Center in Danbury July 15. Tickets go on sale Saturday for the other big metal show for the Meadows this season: Poison, Cinderella, Dokken and Slaughter on June 16, in an event oddly called the "Power to the People Tour."
